Temporada Alta is lucky to welcome another chapter in the ambitious project by the company Lagartijas tiradas al sol to explain the workings of democracy in their country, Mexico. After Santiago Amoukali, Tijuana, Veracruz and Tula, comes Tiburón. This time they reconstruct the life of José María de Barahona, a 16th century missionary who came to the island of Tiburón to Christianise the Tochariku, a community living isolated from the rest of the world. A monologue constructed with the letters of this man practically forgotten by history. A reconstruction perhaps as free as Montserrat, a show still etched in the memory of the festival audience.
