A show for a single spectator who may also be the only actor in this symbolic forest where it is as important to watch as it is to perform
El Conde de Torrefiel invites the spectator to a theatre experience for one person. The individual who enters this symbolic forest, which closely resembles the artifice of theatre, takes on the role of performer and audience consecutively. There will be moments to watch in silence and others for a choreography of movements. Watching and performing, the two basic actions of theatre. A reflection on theatrical convention and how we understand reality. One of the most unclassifiable, groundbreaking and internationally-renowned Catalan companies offers an experiment in the desire to look at those artificial worlds we’ve created.
