The supermarket transformed into a theatre space: this is the idea behind this audio guide designed by one of the most stimulating and unsettling artistic duos in Catalonia
With the lockdown we discovered that there were permitted places (supermarkets) and forbidden places (theatres). With the pandemic, there is now nothing exceptional about hiding your identity behind a mask. The mask used to be a suspicious item. And what is it now? Perhaps this is one of the questions posed by Cabosanroque – a duo formed by an engineer and musician, Laia Torrents, and an architect, Roger Aixut – to create this audio guide that fully exploits the supermarket as a performance space, a stage to tell stories. All you have to do is go into one wearing your mask, pick up your mobile phone and put on your headphones, and the performance will begin.
