Iconoclastic choreographer and revolutionary bailaora Rocío Molina continues her trilogy on the essence of flamenco
Al Fondo Riela is the second stop on a journey that retreads the path of tradition and revives the pure creative act of flamenco. Rocío Molina (National Dance Award 2010) takes concepts such as roots, essence and purity and redefines them with a radically renewed and artistic idea free from all artifice. All she needs is the original flamenco triangle (dance, song and guitar) to develop her entire creative universe, which is reflected in this show through a mirrored dialogue between dance and two antagonistic concepts of the guitar: one is dreamlike and tragic (Eduardo Trassierra) and the other naive and Bachian (Yerai Cortés).
