Poster 1997, Narcís Comadira
Poet and painter, as well as a translator, playwright, literary critic…
Graduated in Philology and History of Art, he has been awarded several times (Premi de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Premi Ciutat de Barcelona and Premio Nacional de la Crítica) and he is a member of the Catalan Writer’s Association.
His poetry takes on classical forms, contemplation and irony, all with great metrical rigour. His translations, normally from Italian and English, include authors like G. Leopardi, G. Bassani, E. Di Filippo, L. Pirandello, W.H. Auden or R. Rowell.
The combination of his literary vocation with painting closely links the practice of these two disciplines in his creations, giving rise to a highly special vision of reality.
His paintings are characterized by vigorous and colorist strokes, of simple geometrical shapes with great visual intensity. In plain but bright colors, as in many of his creations, the Temporada Alta poster contains vegetable and household items: the tree, the chair and the cloth with the stage lights switched on show us that everything is ready for the show to begin
