The third project from one of the most vibrant young companies takes an ironic and unrelenting look at the tourism industry
The third project from one of the most vibrant young companies takes an ironic and unrelenting look at the tourism industry
With Los bancos regalan sandwicheras y chorizos they explored the structures of Francoism; with Arma de construcción masiva they questioned the education received at school and home. Now José y sus Hermanas considers what we have told the rest of the world in order to construct a country visited by millions of people every year. The story of a brand – “Spain is different” – set against the Mediterranean Sea, which one day is a swimming pool and leisure centre and another becomes a grave and a battlefield. Compensatory holidays that have very little to do with the need to travel to get to know the world. An adventure on which they are guided by Chilean director Marco Layera.
