A film about the impact of theatre on an audience
A film about the impact of theatre on an audience
El público is a film about some theatre-goers and the city where they live. It is also the story of a play that we can only understand through its narratives. The film begins just before the play starts, with the whole ritual of the audience arriving and taking their seats in a theatre. We will not see the play. We will only discover the impact that the revelation of a real event, until now hidden in the city’s recent history, will have on those attending. The camera will then follow eleven people from the audience and we will see their stories for 24 hours, and witness how the play has affected their lives.
