Shared Landscapes
A European project
Shared Landscapes is a European project led by Caroline Barneaud (Théâtre VidyLausanne) and Stefan Kaegi (Rimini Protokoll), where they invite institutions and artists to leave cities, theaters and spaces to “enter the landscape”. Temporada Alta is one of the participants and was hosted the show in the 2024 edition. During 2023 had been seen in Switzerland (May) and in July, at the Avignon festival.
The proposal
Seven artists from different nationalities and disciplines come together in a natural space to make art dialogue with the landscape. What if the landscape were a theater? What if art did not represent the environment, but allowed us to experience it collectively? What is at stake today in our relationship with “nature” and its representations, and in the relationship between urban and rural spaces, at a time when our climate and resources lead us to a new awareness of fragility and interdependence ? A proposal that has been seen in Temporada Alta 2024.
The participants
In this international project, Caroline Barneaud (Théâtre VidyLausanne) and Stefan Kaegi (Rimini Protokoll) invite institutions and artists to leave cities, theaters and spaces to “enter the landscape”, to pay collective attention to what surrounds us and to share a way of looking at the territory, far from that of the developers or owners. Apart from Temporada Alta, they are part of the Rimini Apparat project (Germany), Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne (Switzerland), Bunker and Mladi Levi Festival (Slovenia), Culturgest (Portugal), Festival d’Avignon (France), Tangente St. Pölten – Festival für Gegenwartskultur (Austria), Zona K and Piccolo Teatro di Milano Teatro d’Europa (Italy).
The artists
International artists, partners and local teams will come together to create a theatrical journey between the field and the forest, in a kind of performative, theatrical, ephemeral and collective land art. El Conde de Torrefiel will represent our country within the framework of the project and will also see proposals from Stefan Kaegi (Germany) with the collaboration of Gina Surià, Caroline Barneaud (Switzerland), Chiara Bersani and Marco D’Agostin (Italy), Sofia Dias i Vítor Roriz (Portugal), Begüm Erciyas i Daniel Kötter (Turkey, Belgium, Germany), Ari Benjamin Meyers (Germany) and Émilie Rousset (France).
Enhorabona!
Gira 2022-2023
