Guy Cassiers transforms Camille de Toledo’s novel into a stage labyrinth about grief, family memory and European trauma
One of the great names of the European stage and a regular at Temporada Alta, Guy Cassiers brings Camille de Toledo’s novel to the theatre with the collaboration of actress and co-director Valérie Dréville. After her brother’s suicide, the protagonist is left paralysed and begins to reconstruct the layers of a family history marked by Europe’s traumas. Between word, image and sound, Thésée, sa vie nouvelle turns the myth of Theseus into a contemporary labyrinth of memory, grief and transmission.
