Jordi Panyella and Mercè Sarrias reopen the assassination of Puig Antich through documentary theatre

Based on Jordi Panyella’s journalistic investigation, and his book Puig Antich, cas obert, playwright Mercè Sarrias, stage director Jordi Pérez Solé and artistic producer Helena Moliné construct a powerful documentary piece about the last person executed by Francoism with the garrotte. Born in the Model prison, the production travels between 1974, 2003 and the present to trace Salvador’s radical militancy, uncover the irregularities in the judicial process and fight alongside the Puig Antich sisters to reopen the case. Theatre as a space of memory, truth, justice and reparation.
