Following the line of autofiction perfected in works such as Ostia (TA19) and Kassandra (TA18), Franco-Uruguayan author Sergio Blanco, a major figure in Ibero-American dramaturgy, now presents Tierra, a piece centred on the figure of his mother, Liliana Ayestarán, who died in June 2022. As a tribute, the playwright presents three characters who were once his students and have suffered significant family losses. As the play unfolds, we discover what the three have in common: their nature as theatrical characters who want to share stories.
