La Calòrica is currently the company everyone is talking about. Still celebrating its 10th anniversary, the festival welcomes Feísima enfermedad y muy triste muerte de la reina Isabel I, its first production. The very special final-year project from when they graduated from the Institut del Teatre in 2010. Throughout their career, there is a bond that goes beyond the very strong ties between its members, with Joan Yago as their regular playwright: the ability to laugh at the world. They are masters of farce, which in this work, an irreverent tribute to Shakespeare’s royal dramas, becomes a bloody grotesque surrounding the very Catholic Ferdinand and Isabella.
