“When you meet a person with a disability, you immediately realise they have something special. They teach you what really matters in life. That spirit of resilience… that pure gaze. That good humour and that love they always radiate! We tend to go around stressed. They don’t! They make you notice the details, they make you smile… because, of course… poor things. They are angels.”
What legitimises one part of society to decide on the sexual and reproductive rights of another? What makes one part of the community believe it is more entitled than another to motherhood/fatherhood? What are the parameters that determine who would or would not be a good mother? Can a woman with a psychological disability be a mother? Can she be one in our current society?, with today’s social support? What happens to the rights of children born to these women? Beings with no malice, who have come to earth to teach us things about ourselves: angels.
And angels have no sex, nor do they have children.
The three performances of the production held as part of Temporada Alta include a post-show discussion organised by La Planeta.
