Lolita Flores reprises the role of Poncia, the character her mother dreamed of playing
After the success at last year’s festival, Poncia returns, a monologue based on the character from Lorca’s La casa de Bernarda Alba. Lolita Flores portrays the maid who observes, judges, and confesses what no one dares to speak within that locked and bolted house. Through this role, Lolita delves into silence, repression, and female tragedy, while paying tribute to her mother, Lola Flores’s, unfulfilled desire to embody this character. A performance full of emotion and dramatic intensity
