Momi Maiga

Momi Maiga and the schools of Salt propose an encounter between concert, oral transmission and community participation. Maiga’s quartet presents a repertoire that enters into dialogue with Mandinka tradition, jazz, flamenco and Mediterranean music. Afterwards, pupils from schools in Salt take to the stage to share songs from West African oral tradition that they have worked on in the classroom. A shared performance between artists and children, where music becomes a space for transmission and collective creation.
