An apocalyptic tragicomedy by Jordi Oriol about uncertainty, grief and the power of words
Uncertainty invades humanity. While senior government advisers impose an ultimatum on themselves in order to respond to it, two parents face the disappearance of their daughter and the grandmother’s loss of language. And all this with the conviction that what ceases to be named ceases to exist, but with the doubt as to whether what one mentions may eventually come to pass.
L’últim àtom confronts two ways of seeing the world, setting science and language play. And, as a consequence, it explores the human need to create fictions in order to escape reality.
