The new show by La Calòrica presents a choral comedy about contemporary loneliness, collective utopia, and the search for an experience that changes everything.
La Calòrica, one of the most exciting and vibrant companies in Catalan theatre, returns with a sharp and poignant choral comedy. In an old mountain hotel, a dozen characters come together in search of meaning: tourists eager to hear the stag’s roar; a couple trying to save their relationship; a group of theatre creators discussing how to change the world; and two young women looking for a secret party. But the stag does not roar, and the silence among them fills with anxiety. With its sharp humor and insightful look at the world we live in, La Calòrica builds a contemporary parable about disenchantment and collective hope.
