La brama del cérvol
An existential and political comedy, both individual and collective
An existential and political comedy, both individual and collective
Anxiety, connection, and a fierce urge to live unprecedented yet perfectly standard experiences. An old mountain hotel in the middle of nowhere. Some have travelled from afar to witness the majestic bellowing of the deer; every guide describes it as a unique experience. Others have come to close an important real estate deal or to try to save their marriage. There’s also a group of theatre makers hoping to spend a few days discussing the potential of political theatre to transform society, and two girls lost in the forest, searching for a secret party said to have taken place in that valley for a thousand years.
Multiple stories, characters crossing paths: some are paralyzed by a sense of emptiness, others need to escape the noise… But all of them feel alone in the world—or so they think. Meanwhile, the days go by, and still no one has heard the bellowing of the deer.
