Two leading figures in dance and visual theatre question the fear of becoming artists of the past
The fear of being left out of the game, of becoming someone who “has been”, is the terror running through this first collaboration between Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Martin Zimmermann, two key figures on the European contemporary scene: the former an internationally renowned choreographer; the latter a creator linked to circus, physical theatre and visual humour. Without text and with live music, HAS BEEN constructs a tragicomedy about the passage of time, bodies that crack and façades that try to conceal decay.
