One of the leading voices of today's flamenco comes to Temporada Alta
Estrella Morente (Granada, 1980) is the daughter of the flamenco singer Enrique Morente and the flamenco dancer Aurora Carbonell. Raised in a flamenco environment, she made her debut when she was only 7 years old and at 16 she was already performing in international events. Her first album Mi cante y un poema established her as an emerging figure in flamenco, and since then she has received awards such as Ondas, the Micrófono de Oro and Latin Grammy nominations.
She has performed all over the world, including the Barbican Centre in London, Carnegie Hall in New York and the Teatro Real in Madrid. He has collaborated with orchestras and artists such as Paco de Lucía, Michael Nyman and Pat Metheny. He has also performed works such as El amor brujo and Lisístrata. Today he is a reference of contemporary flamenco, recognized for his artistry, profound knowledge and capacity for innovation.
