The Chilean company Bonobo portrays the collapse of community bonds in a fable about fear, violence and hopelessness

Compañía Bonobo returns, after the impact of Temis (TA24), with its uncomfortable, sharp-edged theatre, capable of bringing to the surface the absurdity hidden beneath the social pact. Estampida humana interweaves three stories: a residents’ meeting in response to a square being occupied by homeless people, a failing home décor shop and a clandestine faction within the carabineros. Pablo Manzi and Andreina Olivarí portray present-day Chile as a landscape of fear, violence and eroded community bonds.
