María Goiricelaya confronts a mother with her son’s gender transition and an accusation that shakes fears, prejudices and bonds

After Yerma (TA25) and Altsasu (TA24), María Goiricelaya returns to Temporada Alta with a monologue for Gema Matarranz about identity, motherhood and trans rights. A mother is left in shock when her teenage daughter tells her that he is a boy and wants to be Alex. Denial and fear begin to take hold until an accusation of sexual abuse drives the mother to try to understand and protect her son. A text about love, prejudice and the fragility of bonds in the face of change.
