A show by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès and Jordi Purtí where opera overflows with humor and emotion
Delíric is a new production by Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès based on Edmond Rostand’s classic, with dramaturgy and stage direction by Jordi Purtí. A show in which opera, music and gestural theatre intertwine to tell the story of Cyrano de Bergerac.
The narrative is built through excerpts from some of the best-known pieces in the operatic repertoire and sequences of gestural theatre, performed live by an ensemble of 11 musicians and singers. The lyrical performances become the voice of the work: a soundtrack that gives context and emotion to the libretto and, together with gesture, reveals the characters and moves the story forward.
In Delíric, singing, music and movement become the true theatrical language. Musicians and singers are also actors, and their bodies and voices construct a sensory and poetic stage universe.
An experience for all audiences that invites us to rediscover the classic Cyrano de Bergerac from a new perspective and to listen to the classics with all our heart.
