A symphonic celebration by Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès and Jordi Purtí where classical music overflows with humour and emotion

Delíric is a bold theatre production that strays from the conventional path to explore the soul of Edmond Rostand’s classic through an entirely new prism, where opera and physical theatre intertwine.

The piece immerses the audience in an emotional tapestry where the narrative is built through fragments of well-known opera pieces and sequences of gestural theatre. To tell the story, the dramaturgy draws on a generous collection of carefully selected excerpts from operatic works. The melodies are the voice of the piece, a soundtrack that heightens and gives context to the libretto created, and that is revealed alongside the physical gesture. Singing, music and gestural precision become the true narrative. It is through this language that the audience discovers the characters, the scenes, the work. The singers and musicians are its actors.

Delíric is a sensory and visceral theatre experience. A universe where the power of operatic music and the poetry of the body come together to dismantle and reconstruct a story. It is a reflection on the difference between what is felt and what remains unexpressed, and on how true beauty lies in the honesty of gesture and the emotion of singing without barriers. This production invites the audience, ALL audiences, to see a classic with fresh eyes and to listen to the classics with all their heart.
