Circus artist and researcher Alba Ramió i Güell explores pain in an immersive experience between circus, dance and theatre

Artist, researcher and mediator Alba Ramió i Güell develops a practice located at the intersection of these disciplines. Trained in circus between Catalonia, France and Stockholm, she has built a career marked by collective acrobatic balances and by research that questions the practices and imaginaries of contemporary circus. Cavitat F. is her first authored piece: an immersive solo that interweaves circus, dance and theatre, unfolding as a collective training in affect. The work explores what circulates between one body and another: how we affect one another, what remains, and where the boundary lies between what is our own and what belongs to others. A circus body activates a space of shared resonance where cavities —physical, emotional and symbolic— can emerge and be heard, holding the shape of the bodies that have passed through them.
