Casares – Camus: una història de amor

Mario Gas directs Rosa Renom and Jordi Boixaderas in this play based on the love letters exchanged between Albert Camus and María Casares
On the night of June 6, 1944, the same day of the Normandy landings, the French writer Albert Camus and the renowned Spanish actress Maria Casares became lovers. However, their love story would not begin until 1948, when they became a couple, a relationship that would last until the death of the writer in 1960. During all these years, between the public life and the creative activity of both, the letters they wrote to each other describe the intensity of their relationship. Exile, the Paris of the fifties, the war, thought and desire mark the correspondence between the two lovers. Now, Rosa Renom and Jordi Boixaderas play both characters and, directed by Mario Gas, manage to give voice to the writings, thus explaining what was, truly, a great love story.
