El primer cant del matí in large-scale format is the expanded stage version of Alosa’s first album, conceived especially for an ensemble of more than twenty musicians

A show that expands the duo’s sound universe and transforms the original and traditional repertoire into a collective experience. Voices, choir and a wide range of traditional Iberian instruments —such as the square frame drum, tambourine, almirez and other rooted percussion— enter into dialogue on stage to recover the communal strength of popular song and project it into the present. The result is a proposal that combines delicacy and power, tradition and contemporaneity, in a rich, moving and deeply alive soundscape. With this show, Alosa champions a musical heritage that is often little seen on major stages and turns it into material for contemporary creation.
Recognised with three Premis Enderrock 2026 for the album El primer cant del matí, Alosa has positioned itself as one of the most distinctive voices in new Catalan folk, standing out both for its artistic sensitivity and for its ability to connect with audiences live.
