Temporada Alta continues to grow accompanied by a varied, daring and demanding audience who enjoy a wide variety of stage performances.
At the request of the public, the festival has added 22 additional functions for 12 different showsThis year, a total of 94 performances have been presented over two months: 48 new releases, 26 productions or co- productions, 25 international shows from 16 different countries and 20 contemporary creation performances.
The 26th edition has included a large number of international performances with great names in the performing arts such as Alain Platel, Romeo Castellucci, Oskaras Korsunovas, Guy Cassiers, Christiane Jatahy, Mariano Pensotti, Los Colochos and the 1927 theatre company.
The Festival is much more than a schedule of shows, it has become a meeting point for international professionals. The Progra mmers’ Week remains one of the highlights of the edition, gathering together the best national and international contemporary creations, with 85 national and international programmers present.
In Temporada Alta, some of the most noteworthy performances of the theatrical season have been performed, such as Cyrano, with Lluís Homar and directed by Pau Miró, Blasted by Alícia Gorina and iUanMi by Lali Ayguadé. Some of the most celebrated co -productions, such as Vania , by Àlex Rigola, offer a new look for the staging of the performance.
Temporada Alta looks towards the future and presents some proposals that will determine the nexteditions, such as the participation of the Festival in the Interreg Europe 2018 -2020 programme and its educational and social proj ect, which has started working this year with A TEMPO, Arts and Education.
