We close the 31st edition of the Festival, which has presented 108 proposals in 220 performances (38 premieres) between Salt, Girona and the 9 subvenues scattered throughout the territory, with a positive balance in terms of spectators and occupation. Temporada Alta 2022 ends with a total number of 49,979 participants (57,622 in 2021) as a result of adding the spectators in the hall (43,165) with those attending the complementary activities (3,351) and the participants in the A Tempo project (3,463).
The most positive data has been the 43,165 people who have attended the Temporada Alta hall shows, which represents 89.06% occupancy.
The resumption of all lines of work on an international scale, now that the pandemic has been overcome, has made it possible to program 17 shows by international artists from 11 countries, recover the momentum of Programmers Week and prepare the next edition of Temporada Alta in Latin America, which will later after some difficult years, this February will recover the number of companies that will travel to Latin America to present Catalan proposals.
The festival has become one of the main agents in the country in terms of supporting creation and this year it has produced or co-produced 22 shows, 6 of them with international collaborators. 14 of these proposals are guaranteed a tour or season in theaters in the country. This is the case, for example, of L’adversari by Emmanuel Carrère directed by Julio Manrique, which will season in Barcelona, or Caridad, by Angélica Liddell, which after its premiere at the festival already has an international tour guaranteed. In addition to Liddell’s proposal, they will also have an international tour: Flors i viatges de cabosanroque, Depois do silencio by Christiane Jatahy and Petróleo by the Piel de Lava company.
