Temporada Alta 2012 presents 24 international performances. The aim is to inform the Catalan public of the European stage trends and at the same time make the festival a worldwide launch pad for productions.
The basic hub of the foreign programme is theatre, dance and the circus, and, as in previous years, Temporada Alta includes both new productions by directors who have already featured at the festival as those of others who are coming for the first time. Some of the most important foreign artists who are coming to Girona and Salt thus autumn are: Oskaras Korsunovas (Hamlet), Guy Cassiers – (Duister hart – based on Heart of darkness by Joseph Conrad), Declan Donnellan (Les tres germanes) Zimmermann & De Perrot (Hans was Heiri), Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Shantala Shivalingappa (Play), William Forsythe (Nowhere and Everywhere at the same time), Agustín Mendilaharzu and Walter Jakob (Los talentos), Guillermo Calderón (Villa y Discurso), Fabrice Murgia (GhostRoad), Edward Hall and his company Propeller (Nit de Reis by W. Shakespeare) or Jan Fabre (Drugs kept me alive)
