Saeta

A visual tragicomedy in which Javier Aranda pays tribute to the craft of puppeteering
A visual tragicomedy in which Javier Aranda pays tribute to the craft of puppeteering
A flower, a saeta, and a coffin begin this suggestive and poetic piece in which Javier Aranda reflects, with humor and sensitivity, on the deeper meaning of theater and the role of the performer. Saeta plays with the idea of the stage as a sacred and ephemeral space where anything is possible. A proposal combining puppets and the body, it speaks to us about the fragility of life and the transformative power of performance
