A touring dance piece in which Lorena Nogal draws inspiration from Picasso and Cubism through a contemporary reinterpretation
Drawing inspiration from the visual ruptures of Cubism, PICASSa is a contemporary dance piece that explores detachment, the imprint of the ephemeral, and the search for new forms of stage expression. In a gesture of radical decontextualization, Lorena Nogal (choreographer and member of La Veronal) draws on Picasso’s work to create a living landscape governed by its own rules. Body, imagination, and gaze connect to rethink reality from multiple perspectives. The result is an immersive and fragmentary journey that blurs the boundaries between spectator, artwork, and performer.
