Toni has lost his father but cannot afford the funeral. With the help of his daughter Emma, he devises a plan to bury him on his own without Aurèlia, his mother, finding out. Mesures extraordinàries is a comedy about death, family ties, and the difficulty of saying goodbye with dignity. With their naturalistic and direct comic style, Carme Marfà and Yago Alonso (La pell fina, TA23) portray with humanity the conflicts between generations and the importance of preserving the rituals that give meaning to loss.
