A life story about the loss of a mother in childhood and the value of loving above all else

A life story about the loss of a mother in childhood and the value of loving above all else

Three years after moving audiences with the inspiring adventure Camí a l’escola, the Lleida-based company presents a new story based on real events. A very personal one, as it recounts the childhood of one of the founders, Jordi Pedrós, who grew up surrounded by his mother, grandmother, and aunt. Speaking naturally about illness and death, Matres breaks taboos and reveals alternative ways of loving and caring. It does so through text, physical theatre, mask work, and puppetry, offering multiple layers of interpretation, humor, and sensitivity. Awarded at the Critics’ Awards and at the Mostra Igualada and FETEN fairs
