Maria Hein arrives at the La Mirona hall with Temporada Alta and NEU! Festival to present her latest work KATANA.

It has only been three years since Maria Hein presented herself to the world with «Continent i Contingut» (2021), a debut album with which she quickly became one of the breakthrough artists of the moment. A delicate album, where she mixed folk and pop, and in which she gave off a unique magic that took her breath away, magic that led her to win awards such as Best Song (2021) and Best New Artist (2021) from Enderrock, Best New Album (2022) and Best Author’s Album (2022) from Enderrock, and to be nominated for the Cerverí 2022 Award for Best Lyrics for ‘Sa teva presencia’ and the Alicia 2023 Awards from the Catalan Music Academy for Best Emerging Talent.

Then came LA DAMA DE MALLORCA, a popular Mallorcan song that Maria Hein revisits and adapts with elegance to a more current, electronic and experimental sound. A prelude to the change that was already brewing and that has culminated with the presentation of her second album TOT ALLÒ QUE NO SAP NINGÚ (2023). An album where she explores new sounds and textures, which has been well received by critics and the public and which marks a clear evolution and a great step forward in her career.

Now with KATANA Maria faces a new stage in which she will continue to demonstrate that she is the future of pop.
