Les Bàrbares
David Selvas’ new show
David Selvas’ new show
Susi, Carmen, and Encarna, friends since school, meet at a hotel far from the city. It has been six months since the death of Bàrbara, a woman thirty years younger than them, whom they all mentored and loved in different ways.
Bàrbara’s final wish is to lay bare how they see one another—and themselves. Their relationships with work, motherhood, and feminism come into question.
The story draws a map of their contradictions while tracing the fate of their friendship.
