The unclassifiable Christoph Marthaler presents a story about a group of people trapped in a mountain refuge: testing communication and the sense of collectivity

With his unmistakable melancholic humor, Swiss director Christoph Marthaler (Aucune Idée, TA21) creates an absurd comedy about human fragility and attempts at collective understanding. Six people find themselves in an uncertain space hanging from a mountain: a refuge, a bunker, or perhaps a high-level meeting room? They speak different languages, communicate only partially, and organize themselves clumsily. Life and ideas do not always fit together. But suddenly, amid paradoxes, misalignments, and songs, something begins to circulate.
