A seemingly unnecessary nudity scene opens an intimate conflict about boundaries, respect, and the legitimacy of saying “no”
A seemingly unnecessary nudity scene opens an intimate conflict about boundaries, respect, and the legitimacy of saying “no”
During a tense and precarious film shoot, a veteran and respected actress informs the director—a young rising star in cinema and also a friend—that she refuses to undress as indicated in the script. She doesn’t do it out of modesty, but because she sees no artistic purpose in it. Her decision sparks a conversation about the limits of personal trust and professional responsibility, confronting two perspectives on creation, consent, and authority. In the new play by Francesc Cuéllar (Lacrimosa, TA22), Míriam Iscla and Dafnis Balduz bring to life two characters caught between artistic commitment and personal responsibility.
