GIO Symphonia: Hallscape

Classical music from a different perspective
Classical music from a different perspective
With Hallscape, GIO Symphonia presents a new immersive sensory experience that transforms the lobby of the Auditori de Girona —twenty years after its inauguration— into a vibrant and surprising space. As its name suggests, Hallscape is an escape from the conventional concert hall, offering a captivating soundscape wrapped in a staging that defies established rules and invites audiences to experience music with all their senses.
The artistic core of this proposal is inspired by the concerto grosso form, reimagined as a metaphor for dialogue between different musical eras and languages. In this meeting space, works by Baroque masters —such as Händel, Lully, Vivaldi, or Locke— coexist with contemporary and minimalist creations by composers like Ludovico Einaudi, Ólafur Arnalds, Hania Rani, and Thomas Adès.
