Josep Maria Mestres revisits Roald Dahl's controversy about Israel in a piece that confronts ideas and consciences
Josep Maria Mestres revisits Roald Dahl's controversy about Israel in a piece that confronts ideas and consciences
In 1983, Roald Dahl (Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) published an article questioning the legitimacy of the State of Israel. His words sparked intense controversy and placed Dahl at the heart of a heated public debate.
Josep Maria Pou returns to the stage to portray the celebrated writer in a play by Mark Rosenblatt, which has received unanimous acclaim from critics and audiences in the West End. Gegant revisits this controversy and thrusts its performers into a thought-provoking dialectical battle with striking contemporary relevance.
