The journalist Mae Llimós led the local #MeToo movement by denouncing the abuses of a theater professor. After professional and media success, a shocking news breaks everything: the aggressor has attempted suicide. With the arrival of the accused’s daughter, reality sets in and cracks appear in the narratives. Cutting off one’s foot with a chainsaw, written and directed by Bàrbara Mestanza (Sucia, TA20), is an uncomfortable and necessary play about guilt, the limits of redemption, and the gray areas of responsibility. Three women struggling between truth and the shadow of their ideals.
