The renewed version of a Temporada Alta classic arrives in Barcelona
An emblematic show from Alain Platel’s career comes to Barcelona, in a revamped version. The group Coup Fatal, with eight musicians, a countertenor, three choral voices and a dancer – most of them with Congolese roots – makes Bach, Gluck, Handel, Monteverdi and Vivaldi their own.
From the charm of the dandies of Kinshasa and the iconoclastic talent of Alain Platel, this danced concert is born, blending classical music with the traditional music of the Congo, with touches of jazz and rock. A lively and exuberant A vital and exuberant proposal, a burst of energy, beauty and emotion.
