María Pagés and El Arbi El Harti reinterpret De Scheherezade through flamenco, twelve scenes that celebrate the power of desire and feminine wisdom.
Choreographer María Pagés, a leading figure in contemporary flamenco, and playwright El Arbi El Harti combine dance and words in twelve scenes inspired by figures such as Medea, Yerma, and Carmen. De Scheherezade offers a poetic and heartfelt waiting between life and death, light and darkness, where love is not consolation but a path. With an ethical and spiritual perspective, the performance celebrates femininity as a creative force committed to human diversity.
