Identity and transformation through an acrobat in contact with a ladder
Identity and transformation through an acrobat in contact with a ladder
Manel Rosés explores the concept of threshold through a solo acrobatic piece for all audiences starring a ladder. A circus apparatus and scenography at the same time, its 22 steps become a passageway and symbolise a craft and a way of life: the space of transformation of the artist, in constant search. With a prominent physical work nourished by handstands, falls, and object manipulation, Ákri becomes an emotional journey that seeks to connect the personal experience with that of the audience. Co-founder of Soon Circus Company, with whom he tours the award-winning Gregaris, Rosés has worked with companies such as circ “eia” and Cirque du Soleil.
