A Macbeth song
The tragic story of ‘Macbeth’ by La Perla 29 and The Tiger Lillies
The tragic story of ‘Macbeth’ by La Perla 29 and The Tiger Lillies
The most cabaret-esque and macabre London-based group, The Tiger Lillies, lands in Catalonia hand in hand with La Perla 29 and director Oriol Broggi. Together they serve us a unique cocktail that transforms Macbeth into a handcrafted concert-show, with humour and an ironic touch. Three witches sing the fate of the Scottish tyrant in a musical dramaturgy full of fog, spells, and gruesome crimes. Accordions, ukuleles and songs from beyond the grave give sound and voice to the power that corrupts and the guilt that suffocates. A dark and poetic take on Shakespeare’s classic performed in the shadows.
