Presentation of the book ‘Swimming Horses’

‘Swimming Horses’ is a book that has arisen from the desire to review the elements that have accompanied the creations of Mal Pelo over the last twelve years. On one hand, the book shows photographs by Jordi Bover which, as well as the visual impact and depth that they possess, enable us to observe various aspects of the group’s work movement, the use of objects, lighting, gesture and presence, tensions within space and certain codes and tools that have been used. Mal Pelo incorporates the voices of people that have followed the group’s evolution closely, their precise perspective on our way of occupying the stage and constructing a dramaturgy, founded on different languages and the strength of the actors.

To celebrate this publication, there will be an exhibition of the photographs by Jordi Bover that appear in the book at the hall of El Canal – Centre d’Arts Escèniques de Salt/Girona during the months of Temporada Alta and Festival de Tardor de Catalunya.
