Premiere of the latest production by Claret Papiol

Claret Papiol is undoubtedly a key figure in the revival of circus in Catalonia. Co-founder of the first Circ Cric and the comic company La Ganga, and founder of different companies including Germans Poltrona, Papiol has directed his own company, Claret Clown, since 1988. Papiol brings the world premiere of his latest work K.O.L 1714 to Temporada Alta, a reflection on human ingenuity and obsessions, and the dilemma between old knowledge and obsession for the New. Claret, using the adult-child gaze that is associated with the figure of the clown, plays out the story of Sarrias, a traditional farmer doomed to part with a way of life that no longer has a place in the maelstrom of the modern world.
