Propeller, Maria Friedman, Romina Paula, Ivan Morales and Melendi are some of the first confirmed acts at Temporada Alta 2013, which will take place from 3 October to 8 December.
The full programme, featuring over 90 productions, will be made available to the public on 4 September. Already confirmed is the English company Propeller, directed by Edward Hall, with its interpretation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Maria Friedman, Queen of Broadway and West End musicals returns to the festival with new productions, as does the Argentine director Romina Paula. We are also able to reveal that the groundbreaking work of the Uruguayan director Roberto Suárez will come to the festival with Bienvenido a casa.
National productions have been announced, which include the première of the dance spectacle L’Esperança de vida d’una llebre by Mal Pelo and a representation of the production Jo mai by Ivan Morales, which made its debut at the last Grec festival. The acclaimed operetta, Primer Amor with Pere Arquillué will also come to the stage, in addition to Faemino y Cansado’s most recent show.
Music at the festival is set to feature concerts by Melendi at Fontajau, Moorcheeba at La Mirona, Manel at the Auditori and Paco Ibáñez.
