Temporada Alta remains one of the main stays of creativity in the country and presents 13 productions with artists, companies and Catalan theatre groups.
One of the strong offering of the production programme is the première of MACHO MAN, by Àlex Rigola, a documentary theatre installation about sexist violence. La Set i la revolució will also be premièred, a spectacular show by Piero Steiner, Andrés Corchero, Pep Ramis and Enric Ases (El Club).
Together with the TNC, the co-production Kassandra will be premièred, a work by the Uruguayan, Sergio Blanco, directed by Sergi Belbel and starring Elisabet Casanovas.
With companies and artists from this country, the Festival also has several shows that will be premièred at the Festival this autumn: TROIA, una veritable odissea! A spectacular show for all audiences by the Cor de Teatre directed by David Costa and Joan Maria Segura Bernades; Epodermis, a play directed and written by Carol López – co-produced with David Planas; Una lluita constant, a project by Carlota Subirós and La Ruta 40; Una Ilíada, a version of Homer's classic, directed by Juan Carlos Martel, and starring Eduard Farelo; Mili kk by Marc Angelet within the Verbatim cycle of La Planeta; Els Ocells, by La Calòrica, Decadència, by Steven Berkoff, directed by Gloria Balañà, and La lleugeresa, a play written and directed by Ivan Benet, with Aida Oset in the leading role and the Festival collaborating in the production.
Finally, there are two Classic Temporada Alta, a new instalment of Llibràlegs, now directed by Leo Castro with Joan Fullana, Mafalda Bellido, Marta Aran, Jordi Oriol, Roger Torns, Daniela Feixas, Cristina Clemente and Paco Mir, as authors and the VIII Torneig de Dramatúrgia.
