Teatre Goya

The Goya Theatre is a theatre venue located in the center of Barcelona, in the Raval neighborhood, very close to Plaça Universitat. The original building dates back to 1914 and has been renovated several times, most recently in 2004, when it reopened as part of a project led by actor and director Josep Maria Pou. With a capacity of approximately 500 seats, the Goya Theatre offers a regular programme focused on spoken-word theatre, including both contemporary works and classic repertoire, featuring renowned actors and directors. The venue has a proscenium stage, good visibility from all seats, and acoustics suited to various formats. In addition to hosting in-house productions, it also presents touring shows and co-productions. Thanks to its central location and ongoing artistic programming, the Goya Theatre is a vibrant part of Barcelona’s theatre scene.
