El a\u00f1o pasado, en Brasil, tuvieron lugar incendios catastr\u00f3ficos: entre enero y agosto se contabilizaron 71.497 focos de incendio, la mitad de los cuales en el Amazonas. No es extra\u00f1o hablar de medio ambiente en el marco de un festival de artes esc\u00e9nicas como Temporada Alta, si tenemos en cuenta que muchos creadores llevan problem\u00e1ticas de la actualidad al escenario. \u201cComo el festival me dio carta blanca, busqu\u00e9 una imagen que fuera atractiva est\u00e9ticamente, pero que detr\u00e1s de todos estos colores incluyera un mensaje de alarma para reflejar los tiempos que vivimos\u201d, afirma la artista. Concretamente, la artista quiere dejar un margen para que el espectador haga su propia interpretaci\u00f3n: \u201cCada fotograf\u00eda es como una palabra y t\u00fa la incluyes en una frase para que diga una cosa u otra\u201d, explica.<\/p>\n<p>Cristina de Middel es miembra asociada de la agencia Magnum desde 2017 y vive y trabaja entre M\u00e9xico y Brasil. Premio Nacional de Fotograf\u00eda en 2017, Cristina de Middel es licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Valencia y posgraduada en Fotograf\u00eda por la Universidad de Oklahoma y en Fotoperiodismo por la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Barcelona. Es autora de distintos fotolibros y tiene obra en colecciones del pa\u00eds, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n en Nueva York.
